Jan Hauser – Supporting urban mobility and urban development

Jan Hauser is an expert in metropolitan and national strategic planning, urban mobility and urban development, support to SMEs, integrated territorial investments, evaluation, and cohesion policy.

Jan is working as a Business Creation Manager at EIT Urban Mobility. He is also a certified expert of the European Commission under TAIEX, URBACT, and DG Employment programs.

“Previously, I worked as Head of Managing Authority of a multi-fund Operational Programme Prague – Growth Pole of the Czech Republic, which provides ERDF and ESF funding for the development of the metropolitan area including innovation, urban mobility, and support to innovative SMEs.”

He is teaching Cohesion Policy of the EU at Charles University, Prague since 2005.

Jan has worked as a director of the Department of European Programmes at the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, a managing director of the European Development Agency, as an advisor to the Minister of Regional Development and to the Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, and as an advisor to Prague City Councillor for Social Affairs and Housing.

Jan has also worked as a lecturer and researcher at several universities in the field of European Studies, including Monash University, Melbourne, and Charles University, Prague.
