Todd Inouye – focusing on small and medium-sized businesses

Dr. Todd Inouye joined the Niagara University faculty in September 2016 after receiving his Ph.D. in Business Administration.

He also holds an Executive M.B.A. in Business Administration, a B.A. in Psychology, and certificates in International Management and Ethnic Studies, all from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. 

Todd says that his primary research interests lie at the intersection of competitive context and firm-level strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises. He also engages in the scholarship of teaching and learning within the management discipline as a secondary research stream. 

Todd’s research has appeared in Small Business Economics: An Entrepreneurship Journal and peer-reviewed proceedings for the Hawaiʻi International Conference on System Sciences and the Association of Japanese Business Studies.

He has a wide range of business-related experience which includes social work, civil service, small business consulting at the Pacific Business Center Program and nonprofit work. 

Todd also founded Crush Academy, LLC (a youth soccer club) in 2004 and he remains on as President and Director of Coaching. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Oahu League which governs approximately 4,000 youth players in the State of Hawaiʻi.
