Ida Bergmann – increasing sustainability in order to protect our environment

Solved’s Expert of the Week Ida Bergmann is currently working at Aalto University School of Engineering at projects related to offshore wind energy and demand response. 

Ida says that she wants to to solve complicated sustainability issues in multidisciplinary teams.

“Every challenge is an opportunity to create a beautiful solution in a team of skilled professionals. What inspires me most are opportunities to increase sustainability in order to protect our environment. I get excited when motivated experts get together to make a difference.”

Her previous experience includes working in an attorney’s office specialised in energy, construction and infrastructure, developing the solar energy sector in an innovation organization in Chile, and teaching law to non-lawyers.

“In order to be a great problem solver in the field of renewable energy regulation and policy, one has to get to know best practices from other legal systems. Usually other countries have innovative systems that provide ideas for developing the regulation of a chosen country.”
