Harshita Gogoi – “I grew up deeply motivated to solve the environmental challenges that my country faces”

Harshita Gogoi is a performance-driven environmental engineer in the final stages of receiving a doctoral degree in the same discipline, committed to applying novel and innovative solutions to solve environmental problems.

She has strong expertise in environmental remediation and developing sustainable technologies for water treatment with high quality results reported throughout the research career.

Harshita can combine academic knowledge and research training with practical experience to produce impressive application-based results. She is also highly motivated with a zeal for productive results and continuously seeking opportunities to learn and grow professionally.

“I come from a diverse country like India, where we have plenty of natural resources and a rich environment, but unfortunately lack the proper expertise and tools to protect them. I grew up deeply motivated to solve the environmental challenges that my country faces. I was specifically inclined towards solving problems related to water pollution due to the depletion of aquatic ecosystems in Indian rivers.”

Such challenges motivated Harshita to come to Finland to study environmental engineering as Finland has been a forerunner in cleantech and to pursue a career in developing sustainable solutions for water treatment and management of water resources.
