Björn Silfverberg – enhancing sustainable development of urban and regional landuse

Björn Silfverberg’s passion is to enhance sustainable development of urban and regional landuse and work for preservation and diversity of nature.

He also wants to enrich urban life and encourage initiatives for the adaption of new solutions in transport.

Björn studied at the faculty of civil engineering at the Helsinki University of Technology

“My studies brought me on the track of general civil engineering. Early project commitments directed my focus towards transport issues, regional development and urbanization.”

Björn has worked in East Africa, Saudi-Arabia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Russia, the Baltic States and Scandinavian Countries. He says that leadership of multidisciplinary teams has brought with an understanding of values and the variation and complexity of possible solutions.
