Hrafnhildur Bragadóttir – specializing in the law of climate change and air pollution

Solved’s Expert of the Week Hrafnhildur Bragadóttir has worked solely in the field of environmental law, as a researcher, part-time university lecturer and a lawyer both in the public and private sector. She has graduated with a M.A. degree in Law from the University of Iceland.

“My main area of specialization is the law of climate change and air pollution. I have also worked in other fields of environmental law, such as chemical law, planning, environmental impact assessment and sustainable development.”

Hrafnhildur’s work on implementing the EU Emissions Trading System in Iceland made her highly interested in the possibilities and challenges of using economic instruments in environmental protection and control of natural resources.

“I am passionate about researching and developing the most effective tools to balance economic development and environmental protection.”
