Catalin Curea – A solid waste and water management expert

Catalin Curea is an environmental expert with over 25 years of general experience.

For more than 17 years, Catalin has worked on various projects relating to waste and water management, EU waste and water directives, waste and water statistics, and conducting statistical surveys on waste generation and management including collection, recovery and treatment, and on water supply and treatment.

He holds an MSc on the Optimization of Urban Water Public Works, awarded by the Civil Engineering University of Bucharest, Romania, Water Engineering Section, in 1997.

Catalin has cooperated with Eureka Network Program/INNOWWIDE/IFD (under H2020), DG ENV, EASME, DG REGIO, EIB, Eurostat, the World Bank/UBA Austria.

His main qualifications also encompass SDG 6 and 12, evaluation of tech proposals, solid waste management, water management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, others.

Catalin says that he wants to rejuvenate daily life and better understand the R&I progress around him. He also wants to help SDG implementation, see much more on circular economy and better grasp the meanings of synth biology.
