Isa Kukkapuro-Enbom – “We can, and we must reduce our consumption of energy and raw materials”

Isa Kukkapuro-Enbom’s background is in the fashion business. 

“I worked as a chief designer in several Finnish clothing companies between the years 1982–1993. After that I established a lifestyle magazine “Fitness” with a co-founder team.”

Isa says that her active time as a publisher and Editor-in-Chief taught her problem solving in complex situations. 

“Since 2000 I have been working as a producer and creator in our own company Dodo Ltd, and that lead me finally to understand, the future of our planet depends on us all. We should not trust, that natural resources are self-evident.”

According to Isa, increasing prosperity is not possible to reach for everyone. But reasonable, comfortable life should be possible with some changes in our lifestyle.

“To solve this dilemma, we started with my partner, Henrik Enbom, a design community called Trash Design. It started as a simple design project but has grown to a multifunction sustainable interior design producer, workshop leader and actor in education.” 

The goal of the community is to establish in the near future an education center, where they can show how to use non-virgin material in an elegant way. 

“We would like to give people a positive experience that our choices really can make a difference. We can, and we must reduce our consumption of energy and raw materials. This is called Plan Tellus Education.”
