Mykola Kozlov – driving digitization in cities and communities

Mykola Kozlov is a well-known Ukrainian smart city expert and a driver of the digitization process in the Ukrainian cities and communities.

He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” in 2000. Since that time, he had been working in the IT department of Naftogaz of Ukraine for more than 15 years, including leading positions such as The Deputy Director of Information Technology. 

Mykola says that since 2015, he had been creating software products for the financial sector at QB Technology, and in 2017 he has joined the group of experts of the Center for Innovation Development / CID. 

As the IT-expert he’s contributing to the developing of the E-democracy in Ukraine. Particularly, he has participated in the creation of the “Participatory budget” in Kyiv and the development of the E-petitions service for the capital of Ukraine. 

Mykola is the main IT-expert of a project of “E-decisions” supported by the program “U-LEAD with Europe” and run by CID. He says that the goal of the project is to drive the territorial communities of Ukraine to use technology in the decision-making and management process.
