Helsinki Energy Challenge seeks answers to find a sustainable heating solution for the capital – Solved offers an online Collaboration Platform for the challenge

by Solved, May 4th 2020

Can you and your team create the future of urban heating? The global Helsinki Energy Challenge is a one-million-euro competition determined to answer the question: How can we decarbonize the heating of Helsinki, using as little biomass as possible?

The City of Helsinki will hold two live broadcasts in the coming months to answer your questions about the challenge, for example: Why is the competition being organized? What do I need to do to participate? and What are the different steps of the competition process?

Energy experts will also provide key facts about Helsinki’s current heating system. In fact, you will learn everything you need to know to join in. The livestreams will also include Q&A sessions, so if there’s something we’ve missed, feel free to ask. If you are already ready to join the Challenge, you can apply through the application portal: applychallenge.hel.fi

Mayor of Helsinki Jan Vapaavuori will kick off the broadcasts with a keynote address.
